Choose equipment for your material
Plastic drying equipment removes moisture from washed flakes and film before storage or further processing. Amstar manufactures mechanical dewatering and thermal drying machines for recycling plants. The right arrangement depends on the polymer, material shape and requirements of the next stage.
Mechanical dewatering and thermal drying
A centrifugal dryer uses rotation to remove water from suitable plastic streams. For flexible film, compare a screw press dewatering machine or plastic film squeezer and densifier. These systems perform different tasks and should be matched to the incoming film condition.
A thermal dryer uses heated air after appropriate mechanical dewatering. For PET applications, review the vacuum dryer and discuss the downstream process. Required moisture levels should be confirmed for your feedstock and equipment configuration.
Match drying to washing and pelletizing
