Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) System – 20 m³/h

This is a Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) system, a widely adopted technology in modern wastewater treatment processes. Designed for efficient solid-liquid separation, the system features a compact structure, optimized layout, and stable performance. It plays a crucial role in removing suspended solids, oils, and other contaminants from wastewater.

The treatment process begins in the flocculation zone, where coagulants and flocculants—typically PAC (poly aluminium chloride) and PAM (polyacrylamide)—are added to the incoming wastewater. These chemicals react with suspended matter, forming larger, heavier flocs. From there, the mixture enters the contact zone of the DAF unit.

Within the contact zone, saturated water—created by mixing clean water with compressed air in the air-dissolving tank—is released through microbubble generators. These generators produce fine air bubbles approximately 30 to 50 micrometers in diameter. As the microbubbles come into contact with the flocculated particles, they attach to them, significantly reducing their density and causing the solids to float to the surface.

The floating sludge, now at the top of the separation zone, is continuously removed by a skimmer system. This skimmer, driven by a non-metallic chain and equipped with multiple scraping plates, spans the entire width of the tank to ensure stable and reliable sludge removal. Meanwhile, the clarified water settles at the bottom and flows into the clean water tank.

A portion of this clean water is recirculated to the air-dissolving system to maintain the microbubble generation process, while the rest is discharged or reused, depending on the application. The air-dissolving tank is equipped with advanced anti-clogging technology to ensure uninterrupted operation. Even if a microbubble generator becomes blocked, it can be serviced without shutting down the system, making the entire process highly efficient and maintenance-friendly.

Overall, the DAF system offers a robust and effective solution for treating wastewater, making it a valuable asset in municipal, industrial, and commercial applications.
