Simultaneously, the material is heated, aiding in moisture reduction and densification. The result is a semi-dry, compacted output ready for the next stage in the recycling process.
Dewatering and Densifying Results
Here’s the outcome—densified plastic material with moisture content reduced to below 3%. The material is not only dry, but densified — typically reaching a bulk density of up to 300 kilograms per cubic meter, depending on the type of plastic.
